At a local convenience store, the female clerk was cleaning the bathroom when she ran out gagging and making a ruckus about the homeless women who use it and the gall of them to be so dirty, adding those people, "most (of whom) choose to be homeless," should be "out of sight."
She was shocked when I said I was a homeless Veteran, adding most homeless people I know do not choose to be that way! She fumbled with some sort of justification, which I didn't stick around to hear. As I was walking out, she said, louder, "Sorry. Thank you for your service." lol
How sad everyday Americans want Homeless, Poor, Homosexual, Mentally ill, Disabled, Black (pick your beat-upon group) to be out of sight - much like the Jews in Nazi Germany.
It's alarming to me the lack of empathy for our neighbors! Anybody heard of "Do Unto Others" as you would yourself. for God(dess) sake!
It is heartbreaking to me the tragedy overseas of migrant families from war-torn countries. What parent wouldn't make the trek to give their child a better life?
A few countries pledged to take in more refugees after Germany opened its borders. The U.S. agreed to take in 10,000; and isn't that a drop in the pan of what is needed - globally - now?
Now, the European Union failed in talks to set mandatory quotas to other countries; and the fences and walls are going up and migrants are literally pushed away from new lives. It is sickening to me!
We can make a difference. Call your Congressional reps and let them know how you feel, or visit Unicef, where 90 percent of donations go directly to children. unicefusa.org/MigrantChildren

God(dess) has a plan
I am very hopeful my new abode is coming and the search is on! Finding a place to live is, for sure, the worst thing about moving across country.
Been looking since I moved back for the past two weeks; and it has led me to count my blessings, especially how my family has been helping so much.
Being reminded this move is my decision and things are not going to be the same as they were in Boston is obvious to me. Why would I want to move to some place the same as the last? lol
I am excited about another change in my life!
And I was compelled to return home. I could not ignore it any longer! My faith is real to me and I have a lot of it! lol
It will all come together in God(dess) plan, which is always bigger and better than what I expect!
Patience also is lacking in my life. lol
It has been difficult to tend to what has to be done according to my core values of Spirituality, Self Care, Justice and Independence. I am severely lacking in all of them, at this time, but I work on something each day. This will pass very soon because even a delay could be beneficial.
It throws me for a loop after three years of treatment when structure isn't apparent! I blame myself, of course, which could easily lead me down paths of destruction.
It's a scary time for me, I admit. But only when I've forgotten to keep the faith, the peace, and constant mindfulness.
Dreams also are coming back. : )

Senate loses! Yay!
For probably one of the few times, President Barack Obama showed the U.S. Senate logic beats out revenge every time, and of course the two main assholes pledge to drag this on and on and on.
The Senate failed to pass a disapproval resolution Thursday for the Iran nuclear accord.
Next week President Obama can scale back on U.S. sanctions. The U.S. and five other world powers negotiated the accord to constrain Iran's nuclear plans and provide relief from international sanctions.
President Obama was quoted saying; "We turn to the critical work of implementing and verifying this deal so that Iran cannot pursue a nuclear weapon."
"No amount of saying this issue is over make it over," said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Followed up by House Speaker John (Boner) Boehner stating: "This debate is far from over, and frankly, it is just beginning.
"We'll use every tool at our disposal to stop, slow and delay this agreement."
Isn't that what happens? The House and the Senate approve a law, and President Obama signs it into law? Not in this political climate! Assholes!
Boner and McConnell have been on President's Obama for two terms. Can't they act like legislators who vote "For the people?." They act like children, and inappropriately for this office.
I am so sick of the lack of respect these mostly old, white men, pay to our U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights - and the presidency!
American voters, myself included, of course, should get term limits passed, and bring in new, fresh perspectives!
