Why doesn't it matter if presumptive Republican nominee 'the' Donald Trump lies?
Everyday since Trump has announced his candidacy for our nation's highest office President of the United States, he has been caught in a lie, whether it be about releasing his taxes, flip-flopping on proposed policy, disparaging remarks about Women, Latinos, the Disabled, failed businesses, or marriages, past remarks and being the 'mysterious' Mr. Miller in an interview in which the recording, and the reporter said it was Trump! WTF?
A lie is a lie is a lie. Period. Nothing more simple than that. Fess up or shut up. Don't lie - because the No. 1 reason is You Will Be Caught. And Trump has been caught over and over and over. Not many people seem to care. How sad is that?
I am throwing up a bit as I say this but Trump could be our next President.
The dictionary defines liar as "deliberately untruthful, deceitful, false?" That seems to be okay with followers of Trump, and mainstream media.
His lying doesn't seem to factor in on the Republican process for choosing its next "President."
Okay, there are documented cases in which Presidents from Washington to Obama have lied. Usually it was about foreign policy not discussed in those periods of America's history, and certainly not subjected to the 24/7 news period.
Hell, the 'revered' President Ronald Reagan lied about trading hostages for weapons in the Iran-Contra affair during my U.S. Navy service service in 1986. Consequences of Reagan's lie have reached past decades. Those 'said weapons' are being recycled and reused by Isis in its Middle East War.
Still, it is not okay. My father, also a Navy Veteran doesn't get recognition of his service during the Bay of Pigs because President John F. Kennedy lied about having any military involvement in the area.
Liars have most definitely factored in my 30-year career as a Journalist. Sources or bosses lied to my face. I am the most naive person, and still have the pollyanna affect that makes me believe people - something I hope to never lose.
However, lying to my face is the most offensive thing a person can do to me. Oh sure, we lie all the time about niceties: Saying we are fine when we are not when someone asks, or saying someone looks great, when in fact they don't.
But it still is mind-blowing to me Trump is in this race to start with; and now that is it acceptable he is a Liar? Trump should, at least, release his taxes! The Democratic candidates have.

Women bashing Women
Here we are in a election season that has been contentious at best, and the male Republican candidate is Bashing the female Democrat candidate - left and right, pun intended - followed by his people he has incited - whom I call the Angry (mostly) White Male (now there are more female lemmings - go figure!) Syndrome: Angry Man Syndrome.
Not only that but Women are bashing our last hope (at least in my lifetime) to have a President that looks like us - will represent us - the 53 percent of female voters!
I am hurt and perplexed at the ungrateful Millennials, for whom I marched on Washington twice, Denver, twice, Dallas, twice and in California more than four times for nearly 40 decades to pass the Equal Rights Amendment. They say "I don't have to vote for a President just because she is a woman."
Whoa there girlie. Without US Women, you would probably be looking forward to your choices in life: Nurse, Teacher, Wife or Secretary? What if I can't care for the baby? And why do my clothes cost more than men's? Why can't I make a living to support my family?
Oh yea, some of those ARE still going on - along with teen suicide, drug use, murders, and overdoses across the board up 400 percent in my lifetime!
I also helped elect candidates, from both parties, who were sympathetic, and at least, open to the notion Women may be equal to Men.
I was blessed to have Title 9 passed when I was in high school and more sports opened up for us. But the ERA would have settled the equal pay argument and ensured Women had the same opportunities as Men. Simple as that.
It has been before Congress every year for 34 years. It had been denied every single time! WTF?
Since the Suffragettes, US Women have fought for things like well, Voting, holding property, working, health care, rape is rape, No means No, Respect Yourself. You are better than the boys! - Things Millennials take for granted.
Now, I am so ashamed to say from-what-I-see, Millennials dress like hookers, put their duck-face photos all over the Internet, claim to care for the planet, campaign reform (which I doubt many could actually explain), taking care of children overseas with a check. They call each other 'Bitch.' They are pretty much on their telephones 24/7. (Not much in-person contact there.)
We are to blame for that, too. We have allowed the FCC to make these subtle changes, so 40 percent of a TV show, for instance is advertisements, words like 'Bitch' and adults having adult conversations and sex during the "family hour" is commonplace.
We have allowed the FCC to break it own rules of the Presidential election: If you give one minute of time on air to one candidate, one party, you must give equal time to the other party. Is that holding true? Think about it.
Still, I say to EVERY SINGLE WOMEN IN AMERICA: You must vote (to show Congress that WE are still here), and to get the first female President in our country's history become a reality.
To those Millennials, and I will say it every chance I get, Yes. Yes, girls. You MUST vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton!
Oh, and quit calling each other names. It is unbecoming of a Woman.

Refugees: One-third children
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to live free ..." begins the poem by Emma Lazarus, inscribed on a bronze tablet on America's beloved Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor.
ABC News released today nearly 30 million men, women, and children were displaced by War(s) and natural disasters in 2015 - on average more than 75 every day. Yemen, Syria and Iraq had more than 1 million people flee alone. Natural disasters make up about 19 million of those - earthquakes, mud slides, floods, etc.
Those numbers are staggering - in that it could happen to anyone at any time in any place.
Yes, including America. But we are lucky here we have so many governmental and community-based efforts all over this country should that happen. Other countries do not.
What breaks my heart the most is an estimated 1/3 of those displaced persons are children - many who arrive alone. People are put in crowded, filthy and often-dangerous refugee camps.
America has taken in a drop in the bucket. And it takes an estimated three years for the U.S. to document and help refugees find homes, which is another column for sure!
Check out this web site http://www.state.gov/j/prm/ to learn more about refugees and the Billions of dollars the U.S. gives to other countries every day. For instance we gave "an additional $86 million" to South Sudan April 27.
Imagine being a 5-year-old arriving on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean somewhere, cold, scared, dirty, wet, hungry, and alone. Devastating.
What can we do? DON'T send clothes, items, water bottles, etc. Refugees literally stand on mounds of clothes that cannot be used. Items like that become unsanitary, and are not useful, or needed. Aid workers say they have received wedding dresses, Halloween costumes and winter coats in the Middle Eastern deserts!
Go to rescue.org and start there. Give 10 percent of your paycheck. We are not alone in this world, and it would be wonderful if we would just help one another.
